FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS
1. Where are the Doves
available
Our Doves are available for all occasions in the London and Essex area.
Our Doves reside in clean, safe and comfortable lofts located on our
property in Hornchurch, Essex
2. Do they really return
home
Yes they do. Each of our Doves undergo many months of intensive training
to allow them to navigate home once they are released. Crossed with the
homing pigeon, it would appear they use many senses to navigate. Their
ability to home depends on their breeding, excellent health and a
knowledgeable manager.
3. Will the Doves have an
"accident" on my Dress /Suit ?
To positively assure that this won't happen would be like
guaranteeing you that the weather during your honeymoon will be flawless
.However , we can tell you that our Doves are kept on a restricted diet
prior to your event . Our experienced co-ordinator will pass the Doves
to you with their legs tucked under their body which is the most
comfortable way for them to be held. This physically makes it very hard
for them to do so from this position.
4. What time of day can the
Doves be released
The specific time of the day is very flexible but we must allow the
doves enough
time to return home before dusk. We will advise you of this at the
enquiry stage.
5. What if the weather is bad on the day of
release
Under certain weather conditions i.e. fog, rain, storms, blizzards and
gales, the
doves may not be released. We will not jeopardise the health and
well-being of
our doves. If the release is cancelled by us due to bad weather, we will
promptly
return all payments.
6. How do the Doves get to the venue
They are transported to the venue in special approved carriers by
an
experienced handler. They are then transferred to the more decorative
basket for
the ceremony.
